hello everyone.
Thank you for always supporting and encouraging us.
This time, we
We have decided to change our store name from "Sakai no Beats" to "BETTE" (pronounced "Bette").
"Sakai Beets" was a name we had used with great affection, but as the number of opportunities for the products to be sold outside of our hands increased, it became increasingly common for them to be mistaken for "Sakai Beets," a place name in Osaka Prefecture, to be mistaken for "Awaji Onions" or "Miyazaki Mangoes." As we considered how we could best convey the passion we put into our products even in areas where we could not deliver directly, we decided to change the name in order to take on new challenges.
BETTE is a Celtic word that is said to be one of the origins of the word beet, meaning "red." However, it can also be shortened to "Eat beets!", so I think it's a great name with a great message.
The Japanese name for beets is kaensai.
It is interesting to note that they both share the same name, a flame-red color.
The color we chose for BETTE is Omoiro, a Japanese color.
The name of this color was created by burning the "hi" from the character "omoi" (thoughts), and it is an analogy for the flames of passionate emotion burning in the heart.
The fiery red beet represents the love for beets, agriculture, food and sports that runs deep within us.
The logo is handwritten, expressing the deliciousness that can only come from something that is handmade, and the joy of moving the body.
Beets are one of the unique ingredients that have taken root in the food cultures of various parts of the world, including Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, Southern Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, North America, and Central and South America, and have developed in their own unique ways. In modern times, they are one of the ingredients that are attracting attention from athletes and in the field of sports science.
Specializing in beets, we carry out all our production, processing and sales activities with the same strong conviction as "Sakai no Beets".
We hope to continue delivering delicious food to you all.
We would appreciate your continued support in the future.
We hope you enjoy BETTE!
